...with the word Liberty on the obverse with some sort of doubling. Do you think these will become some kind of variety in the future or are they already? I wish I could post a really close up picture of one but my camera isn't that good. What are your thoughts?

There are not very many true DDO Roosies. You're most probably seeing coins with mechanical doubling which is usually caused by vibration of the press during the strike or die erosion doubling caused by the wear patterns of heavily worn dies. There are relatively few DDO clad dimes and all are scarce or rare.

It is possible that there will be interest in mechanical doubling in the future but there is very little interest at the current time.

I've noticed that also. Not sure if it is a doubling effect or just an optical illusion or what. There are so few DD's with dimes because they are so small no one studies them. Also, have you ever noticed that most DD's are on the obverse. That is also because most people just don't study the reverse of coins. For some reason there are few denominations with a lot of DD's. Note halves have hardly any. I really think once people go looking for DD's they find lots of them but there has to be an interest there first.
