    JCB,
It would cost quite a bit to put your whole collection in 2x2 flips and pages.

As a total of 2x2s and quality pages Just for your silver dimes, WL halves and SLQ's, you are looking at almost $68 but totally worth it.

I'll take a video next time I run to the SDB at the bank where most of my Merc dimes are kept as well as my junk silver finds. Here's a taste, my best find ever.

Great video, a nice collection you have there. Tons of silver! I've always loved the design on that $3 gold piece, so unique

Gotta love the sound of that silver clinking. It actually brought back distant memories of my great uncles antique slot machine. Believe it or not it was was a 10 cent slot machine that was fed by mercury dimes. Full of them. Wish I knew where it was now, he passed away last year at 98.

Caz, I think for now I am going to take some of my old baseball binders and fill them with coins. Each page has slots for about 12 coins.

Looking forward to getting my world coins up in a week or so. That would be great if you could help me out sherwood.

If you're looking for storage ideas, if it were me, I'd take everything that was circulated and just buy a bunch of coin tubes. I think it's the most efficient way to go. For dimes I use the clear round ones. For quarters and halves I go with the square tubes. They're pretty heavy duty, stack well and can't roll around. You'd like them.

Anything more unique in better condition I use Intercept shields 2x2s and 2x2 boxes. Not only do they look nice but they protect the coins as well. For slabs, I use Intercept shield slab boxes and I also go with IS albums.

Anyway, that's the way I'd do it if you didn't want everything thrown together in a bag.

    40 nickels to a tube.
    50 dimes to a tube.
    40 quarters to a tube.
    20 halves to a tube.
You can usually stack a few extras in them if you need to.

That's always a good idea, but I always have the worry of them rattling around or falling down (I've had 800 wheat pennies scattered around my room at once) but I guess it would be better for the coins than in a bag. Every silver piece I get, or nice coin goes directly into a 2x2 unless it is in OGP or if I decide to display it in air-tites.

I use stackable tubes for my halves, work great. Dimes, nickels and quarters get clear rolls... love looking at those silver edges.

    Wheaties get bagged.

Not a bad hoard to have. Those 3 Dollar Indian Princess' are a real keeper, the mintages on most of the years are super low compared to the quarter eagles and dollars. Thanks for sharing in the video!

I'd want to get that $3 sent in and graded asap just to know for sure it was authentic. I was reading a Coinage article last night from June 2010 on fakes and certification. There's a paragraph on page 16 that states that " In the late 80s, it's estimated that 75% of the $3 gold pieces on the market were fake." After serious TPGs hit the scene, that dropped them down to maybe 10 to 20% . Also read somewhere in there that it was worth it for foreign counterfeiters to use actual real gold in the right content for their fakes because the numismatic premiums were so high.

Unfortunately, that's the reality we live in. Any ungraded $3 is suspect now. I hope it is a real one for you though.
