Hey everyone, found this site and it seems like a great place for information. This is for my dad and he asked me if I could find out how much his coins are worth. He showed me 2 gold coins, one was a 1980 One Ounce Gold Canadian coin and the other was a 1978 South African Krugerrand 1 ounce Gold coin. Is there any place I can look up to see their value or anyway to determine their value? Thanks.

The kruggerand is a bullion coin, and probably the Canadian one is too. That means they can be bought for a small premium over the value of 1 ounce of gold, and sold for a small discount below that value. To check the current gold price go to www.kitco.com
