A set I bought a couple years ago for a good price. Any opinions on the buffalo? Grade/ info on error? I’m considering sending it out for grading. Thanks

The cost of grading would be more than the value of the coin.

For a moment there I was confused. Were you posting about a Shield Nickel with Rays (1866 - 67) or a Buffalo Nickel with Rays?

    It's a simple lamination crack.
The cost of grading and for the error attribution is much more than the value of the coin. You have to pay both fees for the TPG service.

Ok wasn’t sure how much that would effect value, if any. Thank you. And merry Christmas

Nice example of a Buffalo nickel with a lamination on the reverse. I'd say it is about a XF but might reach AU, and certainly would cost more to grade than it will ever be worth.
