Minneapolis I9 District... Probably one of the most scarce districs, IMO. One cool thing about the district that makes it particularly different from the other districts; It serves the largest amount of land of all the other districts but the least amount of currency is produced for it. I very rarely come across any Mineapolis currency, even just regular cash through strap searching. So I thought it'd be cool to start a thread about peoples Minneapolis notes... Here are all of my Minneapolis notes: I don't have any Minneaplis $5's, $50's, or $100's... I also have a Minneapolis want list for face or just a bit over face: 2004A GI-A $10 Uncirculated. For this note, I am willing to pay up to $15 for it in CU condition only. 2009 JI-A $10 Uncirculated. I'd be willing to pay $13 for it. 2009 I-A $1 Uncirculated for my DS. I'd only be willing to pay face plus your shipping for this note... If you really aren't in need of the extra $, I'd always of course highly appreciate those notes @ face but at the same token I really want them for my collection... I am a colorized $10 Minneapolis collector (starting at Series 2004A) and a $1 DS collector (starting at Series 2009)... -tbud
Those are some really nice notes. I really would like to expand my Minneapolis collection. It is my second favorite district, following behind my home district San Francisco. Are those all of your guys' Minneapolis notes are just a few examples? I'm just curious to see how much of peoples collections are Minneapolis because I know how scarce they are... All of my notes are either circulation finds or I purchased them at face value.
The examples I posted are just a few of many. Finding any of these, in uncirculated condition, or purchasing them for face value is very unlikely. I usually have a harder time finding Cleveland and Kansas City.
I'll have to side with you on Cleveland. Behind Minneapolis, Cleveland is my collections scarcest district. Kansas City definitely isn't one of the more common districts in my collection, but it also isn't defintely the rarest out of my collection.
When you talk '29 FRBN than K/11 tops the chart! Still looking for a decent priced $50 K/11! Till than, there is an empty spot in my book for it... Was checking Ebay before I logged on here, and a saw a $100 '29 K/11 in AU. The guy wanted over 2K for it
I have 11 I's. Two 1-8 scrambled ladders: $2 2003 I25316478B and $1 2006 I48673215A. Two low-serial 2003 $2 stars: 8006 and 8007. (Incidentally, I have two other 8006's and one other 8007.) Seven other 2003 I FRB $2s: I00971111* through I00971115* and I28422995A/I28422996A Tied with H, and only J is less common 106 L, 51 G, 50 E, 49 B, 42 D, 38 F, 32 C, 32 K, 22 non-FRN, 15 A, 11 H, 11 I, 6 J
I've actually paid a little more attention to my collection and I've come to notice that it varies for each denomination! For an instance, I have 0 Cleveland $1's... I wonder how this happened. Anways, here are what I have as far as districts go: 8 I,6 D. I'm not going to count any non-FRB's because I have a lot. 79 L, 47 B, 46 G, 42 F, 21 E, 16 K, 14 A, 14 C, 14 J, 11 H, 8 I, and 6 D. I guess I lied about my more scarce district. That would actually happen to be Cleveland...
I have seen all of those examples in regular currency floating around. For $50's and $100's, I do see Minneapolis $50's and $100's every once and a while. I have only seen 2 2004 Minneapolis notes and I thought about keeping one of the nicer ones but I ended up deciding to use them to purchase some star note $20's from the bank instead. Are all those notes you just showed ones your going to spend? Why are there so many US dollars in Canada anyways? I thought their dollar is worth more these days...
Geeze man where do you get notes like these??? I always hear about you getting so much nice stuff in the mail every day. That's a real nice note and I know I'd sure be a proud owner of it...
I'll have to see what in all that I have for I district notes. This year I found 2 mint CU and consecutive $1 1995 I-Ms as well as 2 new L-Ys and a few other good notes in a single FRB strap.
I got my first J add on from the bank today since a long time. It's a VF 1988A $10 JA. It's also my first 1988A $10 of my collection. I just thought that that's funny how we were just saying about how thats one of the scarcer banks and now I just got the first one in a while.
