I made a mistake..I have an off center coin. On the reverse brittania is setting hlding a shield and a triad the coin has about 2 mm blank n one edge and missng the edge and dots on the other edge. Does anyone know what it might be worth.
Hi rod Probably not much. It looks to be in gF condition, so that'd be about £2 - £3. UK coins tend not to be hyped at all when it comes to errors, unlike the US, where it seems that 1/1000th of an inch difference or offset seems to yield huge premia! According to R Ingrams, a UK coin dealer, things like underweight flans for pennies would command only about half as much as that price; a 1945 "doubled 9" VF penny there is only £15.
