Yeah... I would think a few more detail would be necessary. I'm sure those pics are just stock photos. I wonder if all the "treasure" was in 2x2's?

 

This just in..I found $10,000 in monopoly money.

 

At least you didn't have to pay $1,000 for it. You made out better than these fools.

 

I agree that those pictures are probably not of the actual find. Would be good to know more about what was found and who appraised it.

Storage wars started going fake when Darrell found the cash in the back of the painting.

 

How is it fake?

 

Staged.

 

How so? He opens the locker after winning the auction, pulls out something and finds money in it. There is storage lockers with junk, and some with treasures.

 

They do say in the disclaimer they only show the lockers with the greatest items found.

 

They have shown lockers many times with trash in them.

 

It's reality TV CC, at least some portion of it is staged. All those shows are...they are fun, but at least partly fake. Pawn Stars is a wonderful example.

 

From what I have heard, most of Storage Wars is just cutting it down to the interesting lockers, but some are seeded. However, I rather doubt that they would seed $500,000 - but then who knows.

 

I love that show! But yeah... A lot of reality shows are stagged and re-shot, but only for some parts like that would go in the commercials to get people to watch it but I believe that the picture frame with $ in it is true becuase I have found $ behind picture frames. Not a lot of money but still... Its free $
