I have a 1923 Lincoln Wheat Cent in about F/VF. At the base the metal is thinner and another cent is struck with part of Lincoln's hair showing and "WE T" from "IN GOD WE TRUST". What's it worth. On the obverse the "ONE" in "ONE CENT" is very weak. Here's a picture. Sorry about the quality, I use natural light and it is a cloudy day so here I am with a lamp.

  3. Looks like a nice double strike error, which occurs when a finished coin goes back through the design press again. If my 2011 R.S. Yeoman Redbook is correct, it should be worth about $60. Might want to get it looked at though.

VERY NICE! Yes, it's a double struck error and I think it's a $50 or so coin.

Thanks for the help. It's a keeper. Despite the relatively low value (5000x face) I really like it. How hard is it to get others?

How much does the date add to it?
