Picked these up today. Curious what I could list them on the bay for. Any opinons would be appreciated. I looked on PCGS for the 1907 but they didn't have a column for 62 on the 1903. I also check heritage with no luck. Thanks for all input. Daniel
You can do a search on Ebay for completed auctions. On November 5 a 1903 Indian head cent PCGS Graded MS-64RB went for $92.105 with free shipping another on November 2 $105.50 with free shipping another on October 29 went for $146.45 with free shipping I would expect no more than $75.00 for the 1903 perhaps even less with free shipping. On November 5 a 1907 Indian head cent PCGS Graded MS-64RB went for $93.51 with free shipping and another on November 3 went for $119.00 with free shipping. I would expect no more than $50 for the 1907 perhaps even less with free shipping. My opinion is based on being a collector of this series, information posted above and what I would expect to pay for these coins. :smile
I appreciate it. It was hard to guess with the lower grades. I found the results for the 65s but nothing for the 62. Thanks a lot!
Run the cert numbers on the Pcgs website and it will give you their value in which I deduct 10% for a close value
Huh...I didn't know you could do that. p.s. The Decorah Eagles Rock! p.s.s. I couldn't figure it out. How in the world do you look that kinda stuff up? Please forgive a noob to the slabbed coin genre.
I wouldn't say that is a good "rule" in general. I see PCGS coins sell for 20-30% of the PCGS price guide value all of the time. The PCGS price guide is notoriously high for coins graded high, but not top population coins (-1 or -2 from top population). In your case, the PCGS values may be close as these are fairly lowly graded MS examples, and things converge when you get to the less than $50 range. In general cases, your best bet (as others have pointed out) would be to see what they are actually selling for in auctions.
dmott, you just go to www.pcgs.com/cert/ and type in your certification number. The PCGS price guide for your coins lists them as: 1903 MS62RB: $60 1907 MS63BN: $70 The other prices people have quotes are more realistic if you actually want these to sell on eBay! Good luck!
