I have an 1895 IHC I recently acquired. Anybody wanna take a stab at it's grade?

Who graded it? No offense from those pictures it looks XF details to me. I can't really judge the wear on the coin to see how much or what the surfaces actually are like. I can see grades in the AU range, but I would need better pictures before I went any higher.

I agree with Mark H. Definitely, XF.

I would say XF45 to Au50 depending on the surfaces. I just must be deficient as I always prefer to grade in hand than from a photo. :)

I'd say it's close enough to AU to pull a 50, possibly 53.

The coins is raw. Just wondering if it was of any AU value. I'll try to get better pics tonight.

From these picks a solid XF , maybe low AU . Still a nice cent if the surfaces have no problems .

What's going on with the 9 in the date? I dig it.

Much better images! The original ones had me worried about porosity/corosion

I like it as an AU50.

The difference in cameras. My crappy 7MP compared to my grandmothers awesome camera.

I don't know what is with the 9. Looks to me like a small cud or maybe a variety? Anybody got a cherry-picker's guide on them?

I think XF45, but don't have a problem with some saying AU50. And there is nothing going on with the 9 that I can see - most of them look like closed 9's anyway.

For those struggling with AU50, here is OP's coin on top of an XF45 and AU50 from Photograde.

I think AU50 but I don't have a problem with XF45 either. Grade is not just about wear and hits. Factors like luster and eye appeal count.
