I have a misprinted/off center penny. All I can make out is it is from the 1900's. Over 50% of it isnt stamped. Does it have any special value?
Just for the record, coins are struck, not printed. Your coin is worth a couple of bucks. Check eBay... It's flooded with these. -Brian
A big to you Cyndie322! You will learn a lot here, and most of the guys and gals here are great. But some will tell you the correct terminology without reservations if you get it wrong :dead-horse:. So it's ok. And again, WELCOME and congrats for having that off-center cent. I don't have one of them yet. And based on what is showing on it, it's a LMC from between 1959-1999. Of course if you can ascertain that it is a more recent zinc composition then it narrows it to 1982-1999 (I'm basing this on I think I can see the first 1 in the date, but I could be wrong on that --- if I'm wrong on that, you have to extend the dates to 2008).
Bet you a chunck o' change the intended date for that L.C. is 1999. Ridiculous turn-out of off-centers for that date. -Brian
These coins, unfortunately, are worth more if you can read the full date. Still a cool piece, if not terribly valuable; my guess is under $5.
