What do you think. http://http://cgi.ebay.com/Lady-Dra...74?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item2c5b0c1f1a
Oh with out question.....but ebay doesn't do nothing ....so that is why I come here to post such listings when I find them
Really? That coin is so obviously fake, the seller has zero feedback, located in China... anyone who bids on this deserves what they get. Stupidity on the part of bidders is the reason why some of these sellers try to pass off obvious counterfeits as genuine.
It doesn't make it right does it? There are lots of new collectors out there who have no clue which leads to an ex coin collector. Yes they need to do their homework BUT being raped by a seller like this is still wrong IMO. Ebay should really step up and get rid of these loosers
You're correct. It doesn't make it right, and this auction probably will be pulled by eBay. A buyer is who bids on this coin is being raped voluntarily.
Well I just check the listing and here is the results.....Maybe they do care. But what are they going to do about those two dealers,,,,They are propley from the same person or group that are trying to pass these fakes. http://http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250624739566&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
This is the 5 time iv tried to view a link posted about a fake coin only to see it was removed. Is ebay removeing them or are they being reported by folks here on coin talk. Iam hopeing its because of you guys here. Thanks for looking out for a guy like me that wouldnt know that its fake. Again thank you.
I would like to know if anyone would know how much it would cost to get a fake 1909 s as i belive thats my only hope to get one.? Would not mind if it was stamped copy on reverse side as long as it will fit my whitman coin book.
First of all woody, this thread is over eight months old (and the link would be expired anyway)... as far as your desire for a replica '09-s (or s-vdb), there are plenty of inexpensive copies on ebay; just go there and do a search in the replica section under U.S. coins.
First you stated that unknowledegable buyers who bid on counterfeits deserve what they get - I strongly disagree with that. Then you make reference to "being raped voluntarily". That is a terrible analogy, as there is nothing voluntary about rape.
I agree Mark.. that was a bad choice of words. What I meant was that there is no one twisting your arm to place a bid on something you know little or nothing about. So my point is, if you don't know what you are bidding on, don't bid.
Now THAT, I strongly agree with. I just don't want to excuse dishonest sellers who take advantage of those who don't know better.
