Hello, I went to the coin shop today (and I got a 110% on my math test ) and I got a 1872 IHC in AG condition for $20. I think it is pretty good concidering I dropped it from $45. Also I got my first issue of the Numismatist!!! Thanks for reading Daniel
I remember getting my first Numismatist at the ANA museum in Colorado Springs on our vacation. Awesome magazine.
The amount of discount that a buyer gets from the seller's initial asking price says nothing about how good of a deal it is. What counts is the price paid and how it compares to that of other examples of the same date and condition.
True, however the starting price in this case was the grey sheet value according to the seller, so $25 less than grey sheet indicates its a good deal in most cases. Dan
