Hi Guys. Nothing valuable but fun none the less. Almost felt as though I was 14 again and back in a time when these were common in the change.....

Holy smokes Ken, that's amazing to find those in change! Especially a 90 year old cent. Wow.

    Are you trolling? Just kidding.

Did someone find a small hoard of change in they're basement and decieded to spend it you're neighbourhood?

I would be afraid some kid found coins their parents had put aside. Either way, great finds.

Want to hear something sad? My aunt was not a collector but had heard of Carson City, so when she was in vegas in the early 60's would put aside any CC's she had. When I was younger I told her I collected coins, and she went to go get these to show me, but they were gone. Her son had found them and spent them at the local store. She said there were about 100 of them. I never got a chance to see the dates.

That might have been for the best. Your disappointment might have been greater if you knew.

    Something terrible:

My step-grandfather's father collected only key date coins. When he died, the coins were still there, and one day a travelling salesman came to the house and his wife traded a quarter for a vacuum cleaner. She thought it was a great deal, 25 cents for a vacuum. The salesman offered more products for more coins, she ended up giving him all the key date coins for a new washer+dryer, vacuum, electric iron, etc... ugh... I hate to think of what was given away.

My grandmother also gave me a roll of dimes, half were mercury dimes, I kept them... but other others were roosevelts, but I didn't collect coins or know about silver roosies back then, to the bank they went =(

Did you pull these out of the pocket of some vintage 1950's Levi's? Nice little find!
