Hello everyone. I am brand new here and hoping that maybe you coin experts can offer me a little help please. I was cleaning out my garage this afternoon and I found what I think is a coin in some of our belongings. No one in my family has ever seen it before so its curious to me how it even got into our stuff. I am going to attempt to post a front and back view (still learning to navigate this site) and I would greatly appreciate any information at all about this item. Thanks in advance!!
I have no idea what the first side is supposed to be, but the second side is a poor imitation of an ancient Jewish coin. My guess is an older copy of a Jewish coin. They are extremely common, and were imitated a lot in the 50-60's. Look at the edge for casting seems. If they are there that is a guarantee. Chris
