Just picked up this beautiful capped bust type 2. I've been looking for one for a little while, what I like about this one is how original it is. Nice grey patina and interesting die cracks on the reverse. Very pleased with the find.
Will take some quality photos of the coin once I get my new cell phone tomorrow, but I got my first Barber half today! I would call it VG probably, it is still pretty white in color just worn. It was a gift from my boss' brother. I really love it! Just a Barber quarter to go and I have my first complete 20th century type set.
I got this the other day nothing pretty to look at but what do you expect from a coin that was made in 1690. It is a 1690 Norwegian 2 Skilling and it was given to me when I bought a 1909 VDB Cent.
Got this off one of the local bid boards this week. Thought it had verynice XF details and looked like a nice half... well except for that hole But for $14 I thought it was cheap for a 150+ year old half with lots of detail, even with the hole:
