Hey, ya gotta start somewhere. :)

The good news, these are cheap in MS red so there's an upgrade out there for you.

Three colorful Proofs from the early 1960's. All minted during the Kennedy administration (oh how the world has changed since then!)

You do not see too many green Lincolns. Very interesting.

My raw key date memorial cent. In hand it's blazing with luster. It took me a ton of OBW rolls to find one with no hits and full steps.

This is probably my favorite look for older copper. Dark chocolate brown with steel blue highlights and kickin' mint luster and matching on both sides. Mix that with a tougher date and then you have something unique and interesting. Glad to see this thread alive!

This was a real long shot to find this date in 65 BN. At the time there was two graded and I lost out on one when it was listed in a Goldberg auction. One month later, this one showed in a Teletrade auction and I picked it up for half of what the other one sold for. Now there are three or so, but a really low pop in this designation. I never get sick of looking at this coin and I hope you guys dig it too!

You are very correct. high grade 27-S's are hard to find and well struck ones are also hard to find. Yours appear to be both. Very nice!

15-DOb#2.jpg 15-Drev.jpg Illini, love that 15-D. It really 1-ups the one in my collection. I picked it up in a recent Heritage auction.

15-D's can be real nice and they are not horribly expensive for early mint marks .
