I need some help with this one

    Unknown 1600's Coin.jpg
    This was given to me by my coin dealer cause it has a hole in it. Dont know what it is but it is old. Has a 1600 date on not sure if it is 1630 or 1690. Can anyone help?

    Pretty sure it's from Denmark, but I can't identify the denomination. Date looks to be 1651, maybe 1657.

    Yeah, just sit tight and be patient. In a day or two another member who knows the coin will come along, see this thread, and identify the coin for you.

    This is a Norway 2 skilling of the 1688 to 1699 type. Too bad about the hole, these coins are scarce and the market for them is pretty hot.

    Wow thank you. So due to the hole it's not really that big of a
    Treat per say.

    It's still a treat. Like Numismat said, it is a scarce coin.

    Yeah it is. It is a 1690 Norwegen 2 Skilling. Damaged and still great looking.
