[h=2][/h]I found this along with some other medals, and I need help. I did some research on the internet, and found some info. They say it is a rare Hindenburg coin/medal. Does anyone know or have any more info on this item. I took it to a jeweler, and the item is gold plated, it is a very thick gold plating. Any ideas on originality and value?? All comments are welcome and appreciated. THANKS
This is a medal by Karl Goetz. As far as rarity, this one is the most common and there are several examples at any given time on eBay. In excellent proof condition the medal is worth between $75 and $100. Your medal, which has been plated and whizzed and shows surface hairlines, is worth in the $40 to $50 range.
