Someone on Ebay posted a 1942 South African 6d coin and my question is...

    about the 2 in the date. It looks "weird". What do you think?

    All of the stuff that is in red is all die cracks and breaks. I'm not familiar with the coin itself so I can't comment on the date.

    I have a couple of these. I will look at them tomorrow and post a pic of mine too.

    I'm betting that is the normal font for the 2.

    I just did a quick search and found a few more pictures. All of the coins shown had a funky looking 2, so I'm guessing that's normal.

    1942 6d.jpg a better grade 1942 6d - font is fairly diagonal on the downstroke of the 2
