So i ordered a few notes form a dealer in Turkey in January (7th to be exact). Soon after I contacted the person several times about the undelivered package and he eventually told me tough luck, I should have chosen the registered option (which I didn't as registered means nothing in terms of replacement). PayPal refunded my $8 (I said it was just a few notes!) and all was well.

So yesterday... an envelope comes in the mail... from Turkey... dated January 16th... with the notes.

I was just about to reorder them with another dealer too. I'm not sure where the delay was but my goodness! Nearly 4 months to deliver an envelope! Has anyone else gotten something months later? Where's the breakdown?

Was it by any chance surface mail? The Post Office tells you 4-6 weeks, but it's usually 2-4 months. :(

Heh heh... actually I ordered a proof set and was surprised at how quick it came, but I've heard stories. At least I know what causes the delay there.
I'm not sure how it was sent, but it doesn't look expensive. I'm sure the markings on the letter mean something... to someone in Turkey... but not me. Never had anything take that long from any country before but if it's the norm., well... I'd let the seller know it was rec'd and forward payment but it took multiple replies for him to reply back and in the end he basically told me, "Ohh well, tough cookies..." so I think this one was a freebie.
