Got this back in July but just got around to imaging it and wondered if we can determine the Overton before it goes back into the box.
I know the grade that is on the slab but wondering what you think.

    1822 O-115 R3

I would grade this in the AU55 range

I would have to agree with both the O-115 and the AU grade

So much easier to confirm an Overton than to figure it out from scratch ;) I agree with O-115.

At first look I'd say it looks like an AU53 or AU55 as it appears to have decent luster, but also looks to have some hairlines in the fields so I could see them knocking it down to AU50 for that.

How's that for hedging my bet a bit ;)

I will say I really like the way most of you grade.

It is graded by PCGS as AU50 so illni420 comment are right on I think.

For those that want in on the Overton diagnostics we are talking about a sysops from the Vol 4.
Obv die 14.... Stars large date is 8 1/4mm. Mouth slightly open. Stars and mouth can be seen in image.
Rev die N.... E is far left with stand centered between ED. Again the inside right serifs of all three A's are missing. Also not shown to well in the image the center dot is between crossbars 3 & 4.

Again thanks for playing and confirming what I thought it was. I'll see if I can find another next week as I continue updating some of my images.

Why I wanted to be sure.
