I found this in my change. Looks like someone tried to make a dime with solder. Any thought on the value? Theres also a shallow print of plurbus unum on the reverse side
It's called a die chip. The piece of the die between the top and middle of the E has broken away leaving a void which has filled with metal from the planchet.
Sorry, I actually thought it was made out of solder. If all you're referring to was the lettering, it's what Conder said.... die chips and they're common.
