I can't tell from the photo, so do you know what metal was used.....silver, pewter, other? I wonder what criteria the association used to distribute these and how they went about it? Interesting! Chris
Like Chris, I'm interested in the history of the token too. The material looks like pewter, but it could be something else. I collect coin-related medals, tokens, etc. and I like this one very much. If you have more please post them ST. Bruce
I had to double-check my only CSNA medal. I was wondering if it was issued the same year as the YN medal, but it's not. Chris
I like the entire design, and it was struck in silver proof. Maybe one day, I'll get around to submitting it for grading, not because it has any excessive value, but simply to protect the mirror surfaces. My photos aren't the best, but I'm sure it will grade PF69UCAM. If you like the forge, you might find this French plaquette interesting. It portrays Vulcan and Minerva at the forge. Chris
No I don't have one Chris, but would like to. Nearly all my medals are coin related, but this would be a nice one to have because I live in Jersey. Thanks for posting it. Bruce
Thanks for showing some more of your medals ST. I'll have to get some of mine together and post pictures. Bruce
My guess is that it is in pewter; I seem to remember having seen some of their other medals in pewter, but then it's been a while. It also might be antique silver. I'm more curious who that was issued to.
