    Hello,

I wanted to share that I got a 1890 or 1899 V nickel from CVS.:) Its grade is probably -70, but you can see the 18-- the 9 and other thing is a little visible. I also bought 2 silver quarter out of the mint packaged set for melt which I'm very happy about. I will be doing a contest for everyone here when I reach 300 posts, so look out for that.

    Thanks

    Dan

So, Dan. May we see a picture of these finds/purchases?

Cool ! I found a IHC in a roll a few weeks ago. Hard to believe some ofhe ldies are still in ciculation. Maybe the economy has people cashing the old change jar.

I am always amazed at how many people are NOT collectors.

Soooo... the grade is -70? What does that mean? And I can't "see" anything without pics.

I'm guessing the grade is FR2 or thereabouts given what he said. Maybe even PO1.

I pulled a ton (Okay, 46.) of V-Nicks out of a nickel box about 6 weeks ago... they do get cashed in from time to time.

Or maybe it looks like hte one I just found... the reverse is clean, smooth, nothing identifiable at all.

Here are the coins, the V nickel has a readable date if you play with the light. The grade -70 is what I meant to be a joke, you know like its so bad its not Fr, its below the grading scale .

A 100 year old coin in circulation. And you didn't even have to search rolls.
