Love that '34C! Nice notes! Thanks for posting. This note was also posted in the star note finds thread, started by Travis, but it's the only $100 I can contribute. This note is no longer mine, as I sold it to a good friend of mine, for face value. Series 2003A, 160K note run
I'm sorry... 'C'? I figured that this could mean CU, but some of the notes aren't such. None of them are Philadelphia notes... Not all of them are Circulation finds... So what exactly does 'C' stand for?
i just found a 1950 B St. Louis reserve note in circulation. it's gonna break my bank to keep it, but it's the oldest circulation bill i've found. worth keeping?
i suppose i should rephrase my question. if i did keep the bill, would it be worth hanging onto for some time, or would i be better off hawking it right away? it won't keep me from paying my bills, but it might keep me from being able to afford a halloween costume for next weekend...
I would deffinately keep it. I haven't ever come accross anything that old in circulation within the past 2 years of searching.
I have some really nice 1996 $100 stars AU to go pick up from my bank as soon as I have the funds to do so. I'm excited because then I will only be missing two districts of 1996 $100 stars. The ones at the bank are Chicago and Atlanta. Also one 1999 NY star (that would make a D.S. of 1999 $100 stars too!) I'm pretty good with C notes, just too many of them. My of my tellers also once had some uncriculated consecutive 2006 SF $100 stars but I turned them down. Too common and too expensive to set aside. I will post pictures when I go get them because those will then be my favorite C notes!
