How long does it take you all to compile a roll of silver dimes from circulation. On average it takes me about two months to collect 50 silver dimes, this month happens to be better though.

I've gotten about two silver dimes in change in the past ten years so that would be about 250 years. :)

Probably about a year or so, I should be roll searching more boxes of dimes. How many boxes do you go through in a week to get that many?

I can usually go through 4 boxes of dimes per week with a running average of 1.85 silvers per box of $250. I did a road trip and picked up alot of dimes earlier in the month so that helped out my total for the month. I'm at 32 silver dimes so far and want to get 18 or more by the end of the month. Just a little goal I have set for myself.

Never got one in change, that would be cool since i would not have to dump about $125 in dimes to get it.

that's quite a bit of work to get a partial roll of silver dimes... why not search halves as they surely have a much much higher silver percentage.

The only silver dimes I've gotten are from the Coinstar machine reject bin in our local supermarket. I'm up to 3 dimes and a quarter over the past few years.

I've been telling my son, who manages a fast food restaurant what to look for but I don't think he takes me seriously about the value of silver coins. Oh well,

I think that there would be no silver dimes circulating in 250 years.

My halves boxes go something like this, skunk, skunk, 1 x 40%er, 3 x 40%er, skunk, 1 x 90%er, 6 x 40%er, skunk. So I certainly do search them and I average 2.07 silvers per box. The silver percentage yielded is just a fraction higher than the dimes and I have to travel 20 miles to dump them or send them out in the coin-lock bags to be counted and credited. I like to mix the dimes in there as well so I have something to do while I'm waiting for the halves to be counted and my next boxes to arrive.

In 250 years I don't think there will be any money circulating.

Lucky! That makes twice as many silver dimes as I've gotten in about twice as many years.
