Errors, in general, is a very broad topic. You would have to be more specific so that we can address each type one at a time. Chris
i am looking for errors in general. i don't make alot of money so i roll search and whatever i can find to sell to buy coins i need is what i work with. i am finally over thinking hub doubling is a double die. trying to determine omm's and rpm's
If you can make it to Westford, MA this Sunday any question you have may be answered face to face in person. There is a coin show 9am to 3pm Oct. 23rd at the Westford Regency, 219 Littleton Road [Rte. 110]. Exit 32 off I-495. There are 50 to 60 dealers who you can show your coins to.
I will not be in Westford MA this weekend. I will be at the Naugatuck CT show on Saturday & the Danbury CT show on Sunday. I look forward to seeing some more posts from bryantallard.
If you are interested in errors one thing you really need is a through understanding of the minting process. I'm not sure what the best book to read to get a good explaination would be but you might try a copy of The Error Coin Encyclopedia by Arnold Margolis
Errors and varieties are two different things. Roll searching can find some of the minor errors but most of the major types never make it into rolls as they just won't go threw the sorting machines that make rolls.
