My Circulation pulls!!!

Figured I will just start a thread for the bills I pull from my job.
I have been put on the grave yard for the next few months, so I have time to pull all the cash in the time safe to search at least till they yell at me for it...
As usual anyone wanting to post some info, I love to learn more. I do general production info searches but im not up on the hot and cold items.

If anyone is interested in anything I find PM me Im always open to sending in the mail.

Was a slow night tonight but had a great ending.

Yes sir, every thing I get its at face. Have yet to delve into the extra pay area.

I have yet to find a silver cert in circulation. I know that they're out there, they just haven't found me yet.

 

I have never pulled any silver certificated out of circulation to date. IDK how you guys do it. The oldest $1 I have pulled was Series 1963A. But, I have pulled a few 2003A Kansas City stars out. Nice finds!!

Im a little obsessive when I start something, give me a year and I will slowdown some.

A guy came in right as I was about to get off, said he had spent 5 yesterday, just needed the cash and didnt know where to sell them for a little more. He knows to see me now, told him I would give him a little over face for other nicer condition bills.

 

I've been doing this for 3 years now (I've been saying 2 to everybody, but its actually 3, time just moves but too fast haha) and I've been over-obsessive since the day I got my first 1957 silver certificate and '63 red seal. People do think I'm crazy. I don't mind them, haha. I've gone through many hobbies, and always ended up just completing it too quickly or got bored of it, or it was too expensive. With this, I need a good way to save cash anyways, I never run out of bills to collect and find (especially with the new release of a series every 2-3 years), and I've always loved cash anyways, probably my first word as a baby, so I wouldn't get bored of it! It's really nice to meet you, Patrick. Hopefully over time we can become great friends and learn much from each other!

I love silver certs and stars. I have a modest size collection of each. Very nice circulation finds. I have found almost all of my star notes in circulation, but my silver certs were all either given to me or, for the older ones like the '28's and '23's I have, I bought. Anyway, welcome to Cointalk. First shift in a few days, only had 1 bday note 07032007 didnt keep it plus this great condition $5. Figured I might as well add a big head till I find a star one.

 

If you going to add just any random big head, make it either a 1999 $5 (first year of new design) or a 2006 $5 (last year of design before colorized). There weren't too many of the 2006 $5's printed (don't take me wrong though, they are relatively common). The 1999 $5 serial number would start with a 'B' and the 2006 $5 would start off with an 'H'.

 

Dangit, I took the 03 over the 06 in close to same condition... Oh well there are many more out there.

Oh don't worry. Neither '03A or '06 are scarce or rare. I was simply saying, if you are going to get a big head $5 to save, make it an '06. My advice to you would be to get 1 really nice example for each district that made '06 type 1 non-colorized. There were only 3 districts, Atlanta, Chicago, and Minneapolis. Minneapolis is deffinately key here, if you only want to get one example, and not an entire district set. Here's what I'm speaking of, more specifically:

2006 non-colorized type 1 $5 big heads that serial numbers start with 'HI', 'HG', and 'HF'. 'HI' is Minneaplois.

 

I would agree with this, however, if you're going to go with a non-colorized '06, I would buy it, as opposed to pulling it from circ. All, and I mean ALL of the '06, non colorized $5's I have come across in circulation, have had heavy circulation wear.
I don't know what it is with those things, but they are always rags, when found in circ. At least, that's been my experience. You can, though, find nice examples of them for sale on eBay, or any of the currency auction sites.

If I were you, I would look for an HG-B block note, as those had the fewest amount printed, at only 12.8m

 

That has not been the case with me through strap searching, not at all. At one point, I had consecutives that I got from the store, but I spent them and realized the next day how foolish that was. I did forget to mention the HG-B block. Good point.
