I just got this new acquisition in the mail today. I was a little disappointed with the coin in hand. I don't think it looks as good as it did in the auction pics, but anyways. It is NGC graded and I just want to see what you all think it is graded at before I let you know. It is a 1950 Franklin Half, Denver mint.
I made the poll multiple choice, so you can choose more than one answer if you're stuck between a couple of grades.
I don't know Franklins, but still guessed 65. The dark toning and dark pictures make it hard to just the luster on the coin and even the strike. Still it looks like a nice coin - so I had to guess.
The toning isn't desirable but the grade is near gem, so it all depends on how much you paid for this coin,
I'm going to say MS63 and no FBL, if I remember correctly NGC is harder on those than PCGS and it doesn't look like the bottom set is full. Also, is that an old fingerprint around 1 o-clock on the reverse?
