1st box of halves, no silver but pulled a district of Columbia 1975 and a 2005 Canadian coin, not sure what it was, had the number 20 on the reverse slightly smaller in size from the half.

Picked up two boxes of halves yesterday. more skunkage. Both skunk #7 and #8 skunk in a row.. Although did find two 64' dimes in tellers tray while waiting for them to get coins from vault, so its not all bad. Curious if anyone has ever tried to get halves from a casino? any luck?

I did a box of halves.
    2 40%
    2 proofs (1972S and 1973S)
The 73 is definitely impaired but the 72 looks amazing.

    Box of halves, skunk. Ugh.

Saw a '13-D barber half in the half dollar bag at TD. Teller let me look at it... A nice coin, solid F15... Then tossed it back in the bag as per TD policy. Ugh.

It'll end up in a box somewhere... on the bright side, I'm probably going to be doing somewhere around 8 boxes a week now so hopefully my odds are better of finding it/one.

Well I lucked out today. I went into Raley's (a super market here on the west coast.) and bought some cough drops. Most of the cashiers there no me as the "coin guy." and I know most them by first name. Today I was in Blaine's line (I almost skipped his line, but noticed it was the express line.) I walk up, pay for my cough drops and then he says "Hey, I found a silver dime today! It has been a while!" and I reply "Oh man, I would have bought that off of you, but you just got my last $2 for those lozenges." Well, he just said "I have found my share, so just give me a dime for it." !!!!!!! So I handed over a dime and he hands me a 1964-D Roosie =D

I know, a long post for 1 lone silver dime but it has been a long while since last I got any silver at face or less.

I would've held up the bank.

    $1590 in CWR of Dimes , 8 Silver inclulding 1 44 merc.
$380 in CWR of halves - zilch

but... did find a penny in the dime rolls. It looks as if a penny were put together in a mold and the top half fell out and now I have bottom half of penny (not the side with the head) and it has an indentation on the top with a rim around it where the top half of penny should be. I hope this makes sense. Does anyone know what could have happened to make penny like this or is it an error? I don't know the date, because that would have been on the part with the head.

Sorry the pic is bad, but it looks like a mini saucer.

Haven't posted for awhile, though I really have not found anything worth posting about..... $22 in halves today yielded absoutely nothing of any value over $.50.

A few weeks ago I stopped at the closest bank and got about $20 in nickels- 1 War nickel. I swear I have not been skunked with wars from this bank when I get at least $20.

I have pretty much given up on cent boxes...After about 10 or so with nothing more than the average wheat, it just seems useless. I would rather do nickels, which takes about the same time, but has a much higher pay out for me.

I can not wait until next summer when I can get a job and finally afford a box of halves
