I have a silver dime in good shape. The year on it is 1923 and next to the date it looks to be the letter w..If anyone can help me out i would appreciate it...Thank you so much.....
You have a Winged Liberty dime or better known as the Mercury dime. Without seeing the dime putting a price on it is quite difficult. But because it is 90% silver it is certainly worth more then a 10 cents. If it is in Mint State (MS) condition it couold be worth 10 dollars or more. The W next the date is the engravers intials. It is actually A. W. for Adolph Weinmen. He also is the engraver for the Walking Liberty Half dollar as well. Keep it, it won't be long before this coin is 100 years old.
