Hello- I'm not a collector and had these coins passed down to me and I was wondering what these might be worth. Picture 1(Front Side) Picture 2 (Backside) 1964 Half Dollar 1844 One Cent 1878 Half Dollar 1893 Columbian Half Dollar Picture 3(Front Side) Picture 4 (Backside) Delta Queen Token (No clue what thats from?) 1882 Canadian One Cent 1956 Wheat Penny (Some have a "D" on them) 1853 Half Dime (Has Arrows & "O") Thank you for taking a look at them. I have no clue what I have here.
Don't have a lot of time so ill tell yoy what I know at first glance. -1964 Kennedy (90% silver) is worth $11ish - 1893 Columbian Half dollar (90% silver) is worth around $15 - 1844 one cent is worth around $10 dollars. - Wheat cent is ony worth like 3 cents.
There's an 1853-O w/arrows (which appears similar in grade) on eBay right now for a $31 BIN... http://www.ebay.com/itm/1853-O-Seated-Silver-Half-Dime-W-Arrows-VF-XF-Toned-/290594879630?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item43a8cdf88e The 1878 seated half appears a little lower in grade than this one with a BIN of $100: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1878-Seated...73?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item5645a1a485 The $100 is probably a little high...
1878 Seated half is a little high.but this should help. :kewl:http://www.pcgs.com/Prices/PriceGui...1&SP=1&c=121&title=Liberty+Seated+Half+Dollar
I see that Cam had to edit the OP's last post. Good! This person knows too much about the correct terminology to be what he claims. I think it's just a come-on to try to sell these. Chris
Sorry to the moderator, I looked for the rules of the house but didn't see the advertising thing...thanks for deleting it. Chris- I'm flattered that you think I know so much terminology, doesn't say too much about your coin intellect when I've searched online for about 30 minutes to gain enough information for you to call me an expert. You might need to hit the books Chris, you must not be too smart.
I never intimated that you were an expert, and I'll consider your other remarks for what they're worth.........nothing! I don't have to prove anything to you, but if you maintain that type of attitude, you will likely "learn" a few things from others. Chris
I do believe one of the forum rules is not to be insulting to the members, and this is just pure spite IMO for someone saying they think (based on seeing the post) that you are not who you seem. Many people come on here and are not as they seem, and most can be called out on the little things. If you are for real and want to contribute, fine, but no one likes to see someone come out with all guns blazing because of someone else's comment, a comment that seems warranted by a longtime member here.
Your beloved longtime member and friend decided to call me out and he needed to be corrected. I had this pre-meditated plan to come on here for the first time and trick everyone into buying my small coin collection, get a life. Just go buy my stuff on that auction site...only reason I would come to a site like this anyways. (haha, who's heated about that one...wish I could see the angry fingers typing away right now)
Yo beavergrad. You mess with one of us you mess with all of us! Chris forgot more things then you'll ever know. How about you take your snide comments to the mirror where they belong?
That made my day.....thanks. I wont be messing with any of you anymore because I just got put into place on CoinTalk....yo.
LOL, well if thery are cheap enough I might be interested. I still buy Wheats for 1c each when I can. And any time I can get something below FV, LOOK OUT ! gary
