    Yeah, those shocks.

You'll never find a silver half in a Canadain half-dollar roll. When the Mint switched to nickel dollars and halves, it shrunk them. A silver half won't fit in a nickel roll as a result. (Drat.)

Not really an error coin, but the stamping is so off-kilter it had me wondering if I would find a microscopic beer can welded to the planchet. Add to that the degradeed 7 on the right. Maybe that blob under the 9 is a beer can and I don't know it :D

A good day. Tried two different banks on my way home from work:

    Bank #1) 1 CWR -> skunk

Bank #2) $4.50 in halves in a teller drawer -> 3 x 40% ('66, '68, '69)! This is the same bank (different branch) where I scored the 2 x 90% + 8 x 40% sitting in drawers. I think I found my new favorite bank! :D Guess I'd better start an account there, eh?

I bought some penny rolls too ($5 -> $2 CWR + $3 BWR) --> interested in seeing how consistent the ~20% Cu yield is. Will be done with those shortly...

121 out of the 500 were copper (24.2%!)
One of the coppers was a wheatie.
Also had one 1968 Canadian cent to go in the 'other' jar.

Because I'm bored... at 3.11g per penny, and 95% Cu, 121 pennies is about .79 lbs of copper.

    $1.21/.79lbs = $1.53/lb

If anyone has ever considered buying those copper 'art' rounds/bars/etc as a means of investing in copper (rather than for the pleasure of collecting them)... please refer back to this. That's $1.53 per POUND. Those copper rounds are usually an OUNCE.

    I'm just saying... ;)

Box of dimes; 1 silver roosie.

2 boxes of nickels; First was mostly 2011's. The rolls that weren't full of 2011's yielded a war nick and a nice f-vf '36 Buff. The rolls that were almost entirely 2011's still gave up 15 dateless buffs. Clearly a seeders dump.

The second box was a skunk. Did pull a fair amount of BU's for my first dansco, though.

These two boxes ended up being total skunks. Got to make a trip to TD to get rid of them this weekend.
Spent $10.00 in halves for gas this morning, the guy cashing me out gave a little chuckle as I was laying them out on the counter.

Save em. One of these days i'll do the vinegar trick to reveal their dates.
Some people intentionally cash in stuff like that to spurr interest in the hobby. They are seeders.
