Ownership of foreign soil has nothing to do with the country where you file your tax returns. Who owns all the desert in the Middle East where our fighting men and women are stationed? They are still required to file federal and/or state tax returns. Chris
mighty good! the frontier refinery isn't owned by frontier anymore, it's owned by holly frontier. spagehtti works in wichita is closed down now.
Mizo, One thing you got from this exercise so far, as Kasia pointed out, is there are so many ways of interpreting what someone is asking. Only the one asking the questions knows exactly what he's wanting to know. It's almost like brainstorming. It brings out things you may not have thought of. It's also fun to see how we all draw different conclusions, and ask different questions because we are all thinking differently. That is something to tuck away in the back of your mind, and pretty important, I think. You can tell a bit about people by the questions they ask. Personally, I think all the questions in this contest are making it very interesting, and fun. And maybe a bit educational!! I think I saw somewhere on the forum a coin with a cell tower on it, but cannot remember the thread. Perhaps someone will remember and post it here for fun! Lucy
My grandma has a cell phone tower on her land...I'm puttin' on my spiderman suit now (would look less suspicious if Halloween was a little closer) and I'm going to scale the tower shortly to get the measurements-much easier than doing the math (hated math class!)!! If I don't pm my answer by tonight you can assume my spidey senses failed me... Thanks for the contest-this one is truly an original!
I sent my PM earlier today but after reading this I do have a question.... As a building inspector I want to know if you secured the proper permits for this offensive structure?
By the way, any builder that doesn't know the formula for this doesn't know how to check if his deck framing is square.....
Yeah, I noticed that. Years ago, I had to let a guy go, because when he went to get the length of the rafters on a 5:12 pitch, he pulled out his blue rafter table. Figured if he needed that, he wasn't as experienced cutting roofs as he said he was.

Man, you musta started this back in the 90's. I think it takes about 7 years just to get an environmental impact statement secured, then 2-3 years through planning to get the permits ? Construction in America has become a long term process. lol
