i need help with these coins

    Looks like a Japanese 5 yen, brass

    They are Japanese 5-yen coins. The one on the right is a 1949, the first year of that design (which is the current design). It's fairly common, with a mintage of more than 111 million. Current exchange rate is a little more than 6 cents each.
