Most head tellers are completely stuck-up women who think the world owes them something. Easy to get jaded in a business where you basically handle everybody elses money all day to the tune of probably $50k a day.

In reality it's not a big deal and the only reason I went to this branch was because I knew I would be in town this week and wanted to up this weeks pickups to $4000. I regularly order from 2-3 other branches of this bank with 1 being a little funny sometimes and 2 I have in my back pocket lol (and they get rewarded with muffins, cookies, donuts). So I probably don't want to make too much commotion and it's not really a problem for me, it's just the point of it. You can just tell, the second you look at her, that she's one of them miserable people no matter what she's doing or where she is. I will definitely make her think I'm pulling my $20K out of this bank and transferring to another and then dumping on her from now on. In reality I wont dump halves there because I will end up getting them back in a couple weeks, but I'll tell her "it's fine, don't worry about it. I have 3 other banks that don't feel the need to charge me or give me a hard time, you don't have have to order any, I'll be bringing plenty in for you from now on." :hail:

See how she reacts to that lol. I am however tempted to start getting dimes and/or nickels from my current dump banks just to dump them on her every week and make good on my threat...

Just called and the receptionist came back and said that "she ordered them but they didn't come in, they are probably out of them. She'll said she'll try again next week" So she's lying again, saying she will need to charge me (but refused to tell me how much), then telling me she would order them 'this time', saying she ordered them but they were out and didn't come in. I picked up $1000 at THREE other branches of this bank yesterday! None have ever not come in because they are out (Dunbar), and none of the FOUR other branches I have ordered them from in the past have ever had a real problem with it or threatened to charge.

I'm open to suggestions on what to do with this young miserable, rude and lying teller? I would LOVE to dump a couple grand a week in halves on her now but I get my halves at other branches of the same bank. Maybe $1000 in dimes/week and send a nice letter to the manager? Or, just screw it, take the $3000 in halves sitting on my floor right now in to her tomorrow lol. Or maybe she just has me all wound up and I should move on...

The problem is I get a lot of satisfaction out of proving a point to people like that and making it a lasting memory...

I highly doubt she's even the head teller, she is the 'commercial teller' and is not very old. Probably around my age of early 30's which makes it even more suprising that she was so miserable and rude. Enough so that it kind of surprised me and caught me off guard the first time. Problem is I'm headed back out of town for a few weeks (working in AL) and I don't really even want them next week. I already have a revolving $1K order with another bank that my wife will pick up. Maybe I'll just let her eat them if they ever do come in and bring some more to add to it. See if she can fit it all in her little vault :dead-horse:

On a side note, I just picked up a full set of (5) 2010p 5oz ATB still sealed in the boxes and eligible for 'First Strike' designation for $1499! Sweet, not like getting 10 rolls of WL's for face but I'm excited to get them! And I think it's a pretty good price and I plan to have them for quite some time.

I also enjoy teaching people a lesson. Go dump the $3k on her, make sure shes there, and tell her that if she isn't ordering for you, then you'll be dumping EVERYTHING there. Bet she won't forget again...

instead of just dumping you 3k there, save up maybe 10k and dump it on here.

Ordered 3 boxes at 2 banks. Bank #1 sold my box to someone else. "Oh, your husband go those earlier." Um, no, that was not my husband. "Oh sorry." grrrrrr

Bank #2 said "oops, we only ordered 1 box" grrrrrrr

However, that 1 box gave me 13 40%ers. Not the stellar 40+ silver coins but I'm still very pleased. It also had about 40 AU bicentennial halves I decided to keep.

Plus, when I went to dump the coins (at a new bank branch), the reject bin was full halfway up the tube. Apparently, no one ever checks it. I had to reach way in there to get all the coins. Found a 1964 quarter! My first reject bin find.

    Road Trip Thursday

    Bank 6: $100 Dimes BWR & CWR - 1 X 1964 Roosie
Bank 7: $290 Halves - Skunk - BWR Uncrimped and put back in same roll
    Bank 7: $250 Dimes - BWR - 1 X Roosie
    Bank 8: $250 Dimes - BWR - Skunk all 2011P
    Bank 9: $100 Dimes - CWR - Skunk
    Bank 10: $225 Dimes BWR & CWR - Skunk
    Bank 11: $100 Dimes BWR - 1 x Roosie
    Bank 12: $85 Dimes BWR - 16 silvers (14 x Roosie & 2 X Merc)
I had to work the teller over to get her last $85 in dimes, no account there
The first roll I opened had 8 Silvers another had 7 and a roll with 1
I was not having good results up to this point so it made the trip:hail:
    Bank 13: $100 Dimes CWR - 1 x Roosie
Bank 14: 1946 Island Aurar from the Penny Machine
    Bank 15: $100 Dimes BWR - Skunk 2011P
    Bank 16: $100 Dimes CWR - Skunk
    Bank 17: $30 Halves CWR - Skunk
    Bank 18: $100 Dimes BWR - Skunk
    Bank 19: $250 BWR - 1 x Roosie (ender)

    $2200 something searched for 24 x Silver Dimes (22 Roosie & 2 Mercs)
Lots of work but I came away with $2.40 face 90% silver
    HOTN

One BoA branch told me they wanted to charge for the box of dimes and would not tell me how much, I told them no way, this teller was not nice at all (I'm putting it lightly). I go to the branch down the road and got whatever I wanted and told them how nice they were. I asked for the supervisor and she said she was. I was in no mood to fight with her so I'll be sure to drop an couple bag of halves off with her next time I'm up there.

    Tough hunting in OH

Nice work HOTN! It's definitely a grind.

I am a field engineer so I do a ton of travel and start doing 'road trips' to and from jobs and while there if I get the chance. The last few weeks I spent in the middle of OH and went back and forth twice. Three of the 4 legs back and forth I made them almost all day road trips hitting banks from 9am till 4pm then continued on, either home or to the job. I tried to hit mostly 'country banks' and small towns with 1 to 4 banks. I stayed away from bigger towns/cities because I figure I run into more dumps/hunters and it's tougher to get around. In (3) - 7 hr days hunting I ended up hitting 72 banks and collected approx. $2950 in halves! I only hit silver at THREE banks! $60 in CWR gave (11) - 40% halves. (1) - 40% from a till at another bank (1970 though!!!). and at another bank I said I would take all $350 and they brought out all dumps that were CWR's and marked with a pink ring, purple ring and then a black X on the roll. I hate it but I can't help but search the dumps too, if for nothing else other than hopes of finding a 1987p/d because at the time I had neither. Well I searched them and found an S bicentennial that was SILVER! When leaving another bank with no halves another teller called out "you want a real dime"? What, a real dime? I said sure and it was a '53 rossie! She said she heard people sell them for as much as 40 cents each. I was thinking I would gladly give her 40 cents for as many as she could get lol. I just said thanks and was on my way. The only other thing of interest was 3 rolls I picked up with no silver but 9 S clad proof halves with most in perfect shape including a '95 and these rolls also gave up a nice 1987D. I also picked up $250 in Ike dollars along the way at 3 different banks that were happy to unload them. No silvers though I did get a folder and make a set out of them too.

Thank god I wasn't paying for gas or time :hail: or it would have been a major bust. OH turned out to be really tough and/or bad luck for me but I got paid well to do it haha, even if not with silver.

Total Take hitting 72 OH banks and collecting $2950 in halves:

    (250) - Ike's (no silver)
    (13) - 40% halves (including a silver Bicentennial and a 1970)
    (9) - S Proof Halves (74, 77, 79, 80, 80, 81, 85, 93, 95)
    (1) - 1987D Halve
    (1) - '53 Roosie

    Not a SINGLE 90%'er!

The job in KC before that was much better with half the banks hit and produced 33-40%'s, 1-90% Ben. Next week I'm headed to Alabama for a few weeks and then Georgia for 3-4 weeks after that. Maybe I'll get the chance to steal some rebel silver :D Might be tough though, some of them don't much care for us Yankee's :dead-horse:

Picked up two boxes of halves on lunch.

Opened one. 3 Franklins, 1 '64, and one 40% as well as a gem '84-S.

    I'll take it.

    Latest Report

    I'm back, baby!! (Kinda...)

I've been out of it for a while. Trying to keep up with law school, and had to sink my coin cash into finally getting a car. Coin cash will be replenished in the next week or two, but I won't be getting much coin until then.

Here are my finds (if you can call it that) since 9/18/2011:

BWR H's: 200 rolls -> skunk, skunk, skunk!!
    BWR D's: 90 rolls -> skunk
    BWR N's: 50 rolls -> 1 x war

$2450 face/6450 coins with just one, lonely war nickel... :(

It'll be slow for a while, so I'll report back after things pick up a bit.

Everyone have a good weekend, and may St. Eligius smile upon you all!

Those are some tuff numbers to swallow....remember, it's all about volume and the LAW of averages. I was moaning earlier in the week and went through $1200 in dimes with no silver and my road trip sucked other than the $85.00 I had to sell my soul for. They produced more silver than I could ever imagine from BWR rolls.
