I have a collection of Russian coins and paper money, and I've always wanted to upload my entire collection and its images online so that it's both accessible to me at all times AND I have a place to refer those whom I want to show the collection to... But is there any place where you can do that online for free? Anyone using anything like that?

coinnection.com. look up the member gbroke here on cointalk, he designed it and launched it over the past couple of years. and since your a member on cointalk message him and he will upgrade your free membership to paid until the end of the year.

No, not photobucket. I mean a site like coinnection (gbroke, I saw your site in the past - fantastic work) except for world coins and/or banknotes. Where you can manage a collection online, have different folders, have information about each coin, pictures, prices, catalog info, etc.

The next update (this week) will allow you to add a custom item. So you could just use that for foreign or bank notes or whatever. You can group them into albums and display them.

That's great! Can't wait. Looks like my search is done then, because I thought your site was very well-designed.

I think that ucoin.net is exactly what you need, it has a catalog of many countries, including Russia, and it let's you manage your collection and upload pictures of your coins, you can also write whatever you want about each of your coins, and you can even add tags, it's a very useful site :)

You could also check out banknotebank.com and OmniCoin.com (sister sites). Only problem is BankNoteBank is only for paper money and OminCoin is only for coins, so the collection would be split.
