    Hi all,
Please visit my profile and check out my 2 albums on African coins that I've scanned so far.

Most of these coins, minus some of the silver, I found in foreign junk bins.

In fact, I have 80 1" binders most of which are filled and almost 75% of the coins come from "junk bins."

On average I spend $10 a visit and find about $10 in silver and $20 to $30 in retail price of old and/or XF to UNC modern coins.

    Let me know what'all think.

I love foreign junk bins! Some great finds can be found! I like the fact you can just get a coin from a country on the other side of the world for under a dollar (usually it's about 25 cents depending on stores). Some African countries can be a bit hard to find, at least at my shops, but that's part of the challenge. I used to work with someone from the country of Gambia and he gave me some coins that he had. Quite interesting designs they had!

I used to find great coins in junk bins. Sadly, since my local shop up and moved several years ago I haven't come across any. I'm dying to find some more but it's going to take some effort.

    My 2 cents

Yard sale are a good place to look for Coins to!!
but you must know what worth what or take a red book or smart phone with there treasure out there but make sure it the real thing.
coin shops are good but hunting a treasure is fun too.

You have some great junk bin finds there. I almost exclusively buy from the junk bin and I buy most African coins I see, but the majority of what you have I've never seen before, so you are lucky in what your junk bins hold. I think the best find I've had is a shilling from Southern Rhodesia. It was a rare date from the 30s and I think the book value is like $40. I paid a quarter for it.
