I don't agree that the BU Franklin dollars will necessarily advance advance in price better than the proofs: mintage aside. The 2005 marine dollar had twice as many proofs as mint state produced but the proofs are selling higher.....Same with the 2001 Buffalo dollar. Many novice as well as seasoned collectors prefer the mirrors of the proof coin.Slabbed in ms69 or 70 I would also prefer the proof coin.PCGS ahead of NGC orICG ASI think they are the tougher grading company for 70 grade modern commems.
I'm sure the the proofs are more popular coin for coin but with an almost 4 to 1 ratio of proofs to unc's for the Founding Father I think this will make a difference. (192,000 proof to 58,000 unc)
dealers hungry for b franklin coins i think dealers are dying to get all the coins available from e-bay. and sell it at $89.00 each. for collectors, do not sell b franlkin coins. it will be hard to get. many collectors want them.
Franklin Commem's I noticed prices as high as $250 / coin on some of the 69 and 70's. PCGS or NGC if I get them slabbed??????
