My friend has just returned from China where he was applying for work. He was going to search for coins and currency for me but unfortunately he was under very rigid time constraints and wasn't able to shop at all. He did bring me a few items of his own to give me. The first is a pair of Year of the Pig medallions that are very common in China: The next is a collection of Hong Kong coins ranging in date from 1985 to 1994: This item is a book issued to the banks in China to help employees identify world bank notes and coins:
Nice collection you have there. Was the Honk Kong Set an official mint issue or did someone collect all of those?
It was a souvenir set commemorating the return of Hong Kong from British rule. I have no idea if it was a mint issue or not. There is no documentation with it. This is the box it came in:
Really nice collection. I have never seen such a wonderful collection. I liked the book so much. Thanks for sharing,
