I've been surfing and searching trying to find this coin, has anybody seen this coin or know of a coin like this?
When a real clash die error happens, it is a result of the blank planchet not being fed properly into the die chamber when the dies come together. The force of the dies leave reverse images on the other dies surface, Most are caught, and the dies reworked to remove the clashing. Unfortunately, I don't believe your coin is a clashed die. sorry
It doesn't appear to be a clash. It looks like somone hammered one coin onto another. Note that the letters are backwards and appear to be recessed.........PMD! Chris
Agreed-but its a cool looking PMD! Some people have way too much time on their hands to mess with coins though
