Im new to currency and just picked up this bill, can anyone give some insight to grade and thoughts. The scan makes it look a bit brighter and hides the creases a bit. There are 3 vertical creases and 1 horizontal thus making 8 boxes. Thank you.

A lovely mid-grade Black Eagle. The note has nice eye appeal and looks to be original. I would guess a grade somewhere around the VF30 range. Auction records show pricing from $150 to $225.

I have to agree with Steve on this one. Your note falls into VF and the price is about even with his post. Your note has the first signature combination of the series (13 signature combinations were found throughout printing of the Black Eagle) and generally has more distinct colors than later printings.

Ebay I've seen them fetch $100-$125 in mid grade during the week - snipping. Weekends? Sky's the limit, and it's usually the guy that pays 70 bucks for a gold plated '21 Morgan with no luster.

Nice Black Eagle! and BTW: God help you cause currency is so addicting!!! ;P
