grading question

    what would rank a better grade:

    a bill thats slightly worn and folded
    a crisp bill with an ink stain on the edge

    An Almost Uncirculated (AU) note can have very light folds.

    Usually, a note with ink stains or writing, won't grade higher than Fine (F).

    We are talking about ink stains that were put on after the note left the presses, right?
    Sometimes ink smears are part of the note as printed.
