I wanted the opinion of some fellow morgan vammers. Do you believe this to be a 1890-S Vam-1C?

I am fairly certain it is, but it is not identical to the one on the vamworld page. I found this while looking:

Mine is similar to the posters. The break goes from slightly before the A and trails off at the C, then picks back up again between the C and the A.

    What does everyone think?

Thanks in advance - some late night Morgan love.

Your photos aren't the best, but I don't think it is the 1C. According to the VAMWorld listing there is substantial metal displacement across the top of the "R" and the break turns toward the rim at the left side of the "M".

On yours, there is no metal displacement on the "R" and the break continues on to the first "A" rather than turning toward the rim.

As a rule, die cracks are very common on Morgans, and do not warrant attribution unless there is substantial metal displacement.
