Might just be a typo. But I think they do lot list RB on AU58 coins. Don't know that for a fact and I do not recall seeing one.

When doing at cert verification on the PCGS website or looking up a coin in the PCGS Population reports, the color designation is dependent on the coin number being used... not the grade of the coin. So, if PCGS used the coin number for an RB coin instead of a BN coin, then the cert verification and pop reports will show it as an RB coin, even if it is graded VG10 (and clearly a BN coin). This is a common problem with the PCGS reports since PCGS requires you to use the RD and RB coin numbers when submitting coins of many types, even when they are circulated brown coins. In most cases, they change the number to the correct brown number, but sometimes they do not. On the actual physical labels though, you should not see any color designation on a circulated copper coin (unless it's a mechanical error).

I think in this case that even though the slab does not say AU58RB that is how the coin is listed in the PCGS data base. Cert. verifiesy as that and the PCGS Population report does show that one coin is graded as AU58RB.

What is AG? I'm sure you don't mean AG3.

I have seen a PCGS holder with 58RB. I just assumed it was a mechanical error.

That coin must of been put in on a good day, though more than likely a weak strike I think 58 was rather generous for a grade. 50/53 from the pictures but it must have good luster to get a 58.

Well since the lister mentions that they are scans from before is was graded it might be that who so ever buys the coin will find it better than the images seem to lead one to think.
