My wife purchased a" United States Mint 1990 Prestige Set" Which comes in wonderful velveteen booklet type deal, and features an special commemorative Eisenhower Dollar, Kennedy Half,Washington Quarter,Roosevelt Dime,Jefferson Nickel, and Lincoln Cent. These coins appear to be "Proof",and all bear the "S" mintmark, EXCEPT the Eisenhower Commemorative Dollar, which bears a "P" mintmark. My question: are any of these coins silver? I tried the US Mint website, but couldn't find the answer. I figure you guys know as much as they do anyhow, and are a lot easier to communicate with. Thanks for your help.
I assume that your set did not include the COA. The Ike is 90% silver and the 50c, 25c & 10c are clad. Chris
Thank you cpm, I assume "COA" might mean Cerificate of Authenticity, and perhaps that document would have given us the same information you just did. Thanks again for your valuble help.
That is one of my personal favorite Prestige sets, but as those sets go, it is the most common and inexpensive.
