how much do you think an 1871 Sheild Nickel would be worth in UNC condition, or at least thats the condition my granddad ahd writen on the case?
i cant seem to get any pics of usable quality there are no marks and all the text and details are clearly visable but i think truely uncirculated might be a stretch
Howdy srosenberg75 - Welcome to the Forum !! Given your difficulty with pics, let's try it this way. CLICK HERE - that's what an uncirculated 1871 Shield nickel looks like. Granted, that one is a Proof and graded PF66, but at least you get the idea of what you are looking for.
hey GDJMSP, thanks yeah it looks almost exactly the same as far as text and legibility, no wear whatsoever, the only difference i see is that the one in your link has a more metallic shine to it, whereas mine isnt really 'shinny'
