please help identify this 1838 coin

    this coin has a crowned r on back with a vi and the date 1838. On the front it says rb sk and has a big 1/2. Anyone know what this is? my web search for it went nowhere. 001.jpg 002.jpg

    By the way, the "R" is actually an "FR". That is the monogram (short for "Fridericus Rex") of king Frederik VI. Here is a similar monogram, of a different (later) king with the same name, that lets you recognize the combined characters a little more easily: http://www.danskmoent.dk/jpg/f9h12.jpg

    In fact, the FR monogram was used on several Danish coins long past 1838. This 5-ore coin is from 1972:
