Hi ozlek. Where do you live in the Philippines particularly? I disposed of the coin a long time ago. Didn't collect such anyways. Bought it for about PHP800 a few years ago. Where did you find your coin? Have you read the whole thread? Our friend Pablo Soy of Spain has shared a brief but nice explanation of why he believes the coin is authentic. Others opined it is not. Again, it really depends on the collector's interest and expertize on how much he will value the coin, be it authentic or not. I myself wished I didn't give it away. Would have had a nice conversation piece on my table. haha I didn't collect those coins back then that's why. Tell me if your selling your coin, it will be a nice replacement for my previous one. hahaha just kiddin. :) Warm regards

I'm from Zamboanga. Sorry I didnt notice the coin mark M with a little "o" on top of the M. i just checked that it's from Mexico and not like yours. but the features are quite the same except for the edges. except for a mark in the back, my coin is in very good condition. wish i have a camera to post some snap shots here. anyway, i bought mine last month for 500 Php. i saw a post in sulit.com.ph selling the same coin for 20,000 Php. i just wish it's for real. even half the price would do. haha

GDJMSP is absolutely right about his assessment of this coin. It's an obvious counterfeit. Too many red flags - surface, dentils, edge, legend, portrait. By comparing side-by-side with the few examples already listed in this thread you will see the differences, as well. Look at the missing hair on the back of Ferdinand's head - wear wound never produce that effect. Individual edge elements are not alike (looks like each was cut separately and not hubbed to the edge die) and look to be larger than the original edge would look like without the overlaps that GDJMSP spoke of.

May I know what camera to use to show intricate details of my coin. I really want to know if mine's authentic. And are people here reliable in their assessment? Thanks

Looks like a souvenir replica coin from somewhere (macao perhaps?)

It's definitely a fake. The coins had an edge design, but they sure didn't have modern reeding like that.
